Following the public consultation period, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) in Saudi Arabia has published the amended E-invoicing Implementation Resolution. As previously mentioned, these amendments aim to clarify some requirements (e.g. Cryptographic Stamp, hash, counter etc.) rather than introducing new ones.

Moreover, together with the user manual a new Fatoora Platform made available for taxpayers, the new portal aims to onboard the user’s Electronic Generation Solution (EGS) Unit by generating a cryptographic stamp identifier or by renewing the existing one or revoking it. In addition, the user can view the list of onboarded solutions and devices. Additionally, a new detailed technical guideline explaining onboarding, issuance, clearance and reporting processes in detail, has been made available.
