The New Jersey Department of Treasury recently issued updated guidance for health coverage filings, extending the due date for coverage providers to file their 1095 health coverage forms for tax year 2019 with the Department of Taxation. Health coverage providers will now have until May 15, 2020 to provide the necessary 1095 forms to the Department of Taxation for each primary enrollee who is a full-year or part-year New Jersey resident and to whom the filer provided minimum essential coverage in 2019.
Please note there was no extension for sending 1095 forms to primary enrollees: that due date was March 2, 2020.
