Michigan Publishes Updated Transmittal Form for Magnetic Media Reporting of W-2s, W-2Gs and 1099s

Michigan recently published an updated Form 447, Transmittal for Magnetic Media Reporting of W-2s, W-2Gs and 1099s. This form generally accompanies any magnetic media submissions of withholding reporting data submitted to the Michigan Department of Revenue.

There are a few changes to the updated form, which are as follows:

An address for courier deliveries has been added: Michigan Department of Treasury; Magnetic Media; 7285 Parsons Dr.; Dimondale, MI 48821
The phone number for assistance was updated to (517) 636-6925.
Employers can now include City of Detroit withholding information in the Code RS state record, which has created field positions for City of Detroit withholding information.
