The Maryland Comptroller’s Office recently issued a number of extensions for tax payments and reporting due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including employer withholding tax. For payments and tax returns due between February 2020 and May 2020, these reports and payments will now be due on July 15, 2020. Separate reports must be filed for each period the taxpayer is subject to, and payments submitted by the July 15 due date will not be subject to penalties or interest during the deferment period.
