Maine recently released updates to several documents for business registration and withholding. These documents include Form 941BN-ME, ME-21, the Business Change Notification; the Registration Application for Withholding and other taxes; and Form EFT, the Electronic Funds Transfer Application. Few changes were made across the three forms, none of them substantive. Most changes to the documents are in terms of formatting, but some notable changes are detailed below.
Form EFT
Form EFT has been updated with new numbering throughout. Some of the questions have been moved to different sections, but overall the form itself remains similar or the same in nearly all aspects.
MRS Application for Tax Registration
This form has several formatting updates, but few other specific changes. It is notable that a section has been added explaining the usage of Form 941BN-ME for reporting income tax withholding account changes.
Form 941BN-ME
The only notable changes to the form were the change in the unit name and the email address to contact the unit.
