Course Offering Spotlight

In this week’s course offering spotlight, we are highlighting another one of Sovos’ regularly offered courses, Schedule P Preparation. This course teaches you how to complete schedule P of the annual statement and understand its analytic value.

In our upcoming Sovos Insurance Regulatory Summit 2020, we will be offering a session on schedule P and cash flow. This session will cover the basics of completing schedule P, along with how to understand and complete the Wings cash flow by utilizing its work paper. Be sure to register and secure your spot before the registration deadline, which is November 30th for the education courses and December 4th for the product courses.

Meet Randy Hefel

Our spotlight regulatory educator this week is Randy Hefel. Randy is a Senior Regulatory Specialist at Sovos, helping in the development of NAIC statement filings.  For over 20 years, he has maintained the formulas, validations and NAIC statement revisions in NAIC Statement Filing software. He currently serves as co-chair of the Interested Parties NAIC Blanks Working Group. In his free time, Randy may be found hunting auction houses, flea markets, estate sales and other “fine” establishments in search of mostly early twentieth-century art deco inspirations.
