Sovos announced today that we have acquired North Dakota-based Aatrix Software. This marks another significant milestone in Sovos’ strategic mission of adding complementary companies, services and technology to our portfolio when and where it makes sense to do so. Not only does Aatrix complement and strengthen our current leadership in e-Filing for 1099 and ACA 1095 reporting, but it also greatly extends our reach and service capabilities for W2/payroll reporting – increasing our local, state and federal coverage. Aatrix’s solutions significantly reduce the time required for payroll and tax teams to manage tax submission process and track changes to submission requirements.

As thresholds for e-Filing across forms continue to evolve and fluctuate, Sovos is committed to ensuring that all of our customers, both large and small, have access to the technology and services they need to fulfill their tax and compliance obligations through the simplest and most efficient means possible. With the acquisition of Aatrix, Sovos will continue to build upon our tax and regulatory portfolio for SMBs. By bringing together two companies with significant experience and expertise in helping small and medium-sized businesses navigate the complexity of tax and regulatory compliance, our strategy of creating a ‘low touch’ and ‘low friction’ offering to this market is further enhanced.

The addition of Aatrix follows our earlier acquisition of 1099 Pro, which greatly expanded Sovos’ tax information reporting offerings for SMBs through the launch of the expanded eFileMyForms solution. Adding Aatrix to our solutions portfolio provides Sovos with yet another layer of technology and talent that advances our goal of being a ‘one stop shop’ for SMBs needing to e-File a variety of forms to achieve regulatory compliance.

Like Sovos, the Aatrix solution is widely viewed as a market leader due to its seamless integrations and comprehensive tax form coverage. The depth and breadth of knowledge brought to market by our two entities is unrivaled, enabling us to better service our customers through a combination of regulatory expertise and insights, technology solutions and support capabilities that delivers true confidence to our combined customer base.

Aatrix has historically served a multitude of industries through strong channel partnerships. As we bring these two entities together, Sovos will be in a position to offer greater access to our vast solutions and services portfolio to these established partners, adding additional capabilities and services to their customers.

Take Action

If you are an SMB with e-Filing needs across multiple forms, I encourage you to contact Sovos today to discover how we can make life easier and more efficient.
