December brings several important updates to ShipCompliant designed to improve your experience and keep you compliant as the year closes. From enhanced functionality to critical fixes, these changes reflect our ongoing commitment to supporting your business through the holiday shipping season and beyond.
New and improved
FedEx tracking
When tracking multiple FedEx shipments, you'll see improved performance. The system can now process up to 30 tracking numbers in a single request, reducing wait times.
REST API improvements
We've made updates so that you'll have more reliable REST API performance during high-volume periods with fewer timeouts.
Fulfillment location updates
We renamed fulfillment location "Elite Wine Shipping" to "Domo Wine Services."
Zip code updates
We added ZIP code 72206 to Arkansas restricted delivery locations.
Bug fixes and regulatory updates
Arkansas
You can now recalculate and download Arkansas ET-1 reports that include food product orders. This resolves the issue that was blocking report generation when Use Tax orders for food were present.
California
Tax calculations for addresses in Temecula (41150 Via Europa) and Rutherford (8300 St Helena Hwy) now correctly reflect California CDTFA rates. This ensures accurate tax collection and compliance for these locations.
Illinois
You can now successfully upload Illinois ST-1/ST-2 reports without errors caused by tax rate and location code discrepancies. We corrected mappings for 12 jurisdictions to align with Illinois Department of Revenue requirements.
Mississippi
You can now recalculate state Monthly Excise and Quarterly Direct Shipper reports even when you have no orders for the period. This eliminates the error that previously prevented report generation in zero-order scenarios.
Ohio
We updated the Ohio Distributor Shipments Notice and Invoices template to match the new state requirements. The updated template includes improved formatting for shipper and customer information, lists invoices in alphabetical order, and reports quantities in gallons rounded to two decimal places. This change is effective for reports first due in December 2025.
Report errors
We fixed a problem that was causing metadata generation to fail for some reports. You can now generate reports without encountering metadata capture errors.
Upcoming Support Changes
We also wanted to let you know about some upcoming enhancements to your Sovos ShipCompliant Support experience. We've heard your feedback that it's taking longer than desired to reach a knowledgeable Support representative and to reach issue resolution. These upcoming changes are designed to connect you faster with the right experts and make getting tailored help more streamlined.
Thank you for partnering with us as we make this transition. We're confident these changes will provide faster access to the specialized support you need.
What's changing?
- Starting soon, you'll have access to live agent chat directly within ShipCompliant, allowing you to connect instantly with a well-informed Support representative, create cases and search existing cases—all in one place.
- Support requests will move to our Sovos Support Portal or in-product chat (coming soon!). Email addresses and phone numbers previously used for Support will be retired.
- Accessing the portal is simple and secure, requiring a Sovos login (setup takes less than a minute): https://support.sovos.com/
Note: Important! Use your existing ShipCompliant login email for seamless access.
How will it work?
- You can begin using the Support Portal now. (Click Register Nowto get started.)
- Beginning December 31, the old Support phone number will no longer be in service. Effective February 1, the ShipCompliant Support email will not be active. If you use the old phone or email addresses, you'll be redirected to the new channels.
- Once live, in-portal chat conversations may transition to phone support (a rep will call you) if that is the most effective path to issue resolution.
- You can continue replying to existing cases by email.
When is this happening?
- The current Support phone number will be deprecated on December 31, 2025.
- The full transition to portal and in-app support ticket initiation for ShipCompliant customers takes effect February 1, 2026.
As always, we're here to support you. If you have questions about any of these updates or need assistance, please reach out through our support portal. Wishing you a successful close to 2025 and a smooth start to the new year.
