Happy holidays! We hope you are enjoying the festive spirit of this season (even as it looks a little different this year). As we are nearing the end of 2020, we’d like to use this time to reflect on all we’ve accomplished this year, and where we plan to focus in 2021.
Starting with the numbers: we expect to see 12 million packages shipped through the ShipCompliant product in 2020 (compared to just under 9 million in 2019). This is quite the year of growth in DtC shipments, and a rare bright spot in the COVID pandemic. Stay tuned for the release of our annual DtC Wine Shipping Report on January 25, 2021 for detailed insights. More than 363,000 shipment and tax reports were generated through our system this year, over 103,000 state registrations, nearly 153,000 new COLAs, and our development teams stayed busy with 550+ cases deployed (a case represents new changes and value-adds to the system, everything from updating an existing tax form to keep up with states’ changes to performance enhancements). All in all, a busy year across the board!
We are proud to have built and launched several new initiatives on top of maintaining and enhancing regulatory compliance and customer experience:
- REST API for e-commerce workflow beta testing launched
- DtC beer, spirits, and cider beta programs launched
- Pack ‘N Ship fulfillment integration built and launched
- Launch of New York PRO (largest brand registration state)
- State registration renewal tracking efficiency in ShipCompliant (PRO, efile and paper)
- Single Sign On (SSO) capabilities for Okta and Azure
- License Management guide launched in product
And look forward to our immediate priorities heading into 2021:
- State registration submission efficiencies
- PRO renewal submission efficiencies (Oklahoma pilot)
- SST model 1 new subscription offering
- REST API for fulfillment integrations
- New ShipCompliant landing page/data dashboard
