Title: Creative and Brand Marketing Director
Hometown: Brookville, Ind.
Years in the industry/at Sovos ShipCompliant: Five years at Sovos, nine years in marketing.
Favorite beverage and why: It’s definitely coffee. Being a dad to a toddler necessitates caffeine. It helps me bring my best self to both my job and parenthood. That, plus the spectrum of flavors from a simple black pour-over to a fluffy sugar-bomb Frappuccino is something to behold.
What is a project/campaign from the last year (or past six months) that you’re especially proud of and why?: The creative and design for the Direct-to-Consumer Wine Shipping Report, a flagship annual project. I'm also proud of defining and executing two additional DtC industry reports – covering beer and spirits - that add to the Sovos ShipCompliant thought leadership portfolio. Taking the insights from our teams to present them in compelling design is work that makes me feel proud.
What impact do you make in your role?: I try to ensure brand consistency and a place for Sovos ShipCompliant's unique identity in the greater Sovos family. Cascading our brand personality as Bold, Human, Positive, and Helpful to all our creative assets is a challenge that feels rewarding. Translating that to an industry-specific angle for Sovos ShipCompliant's creative keeps things interesting and rewarding.
What out-of-state beverage do you wish could be shipped directly to you?: Downeast Cider from Boston, Massachusetts. I spent two days at that tasting room when they first opened for a work event, and tasting my first unfiltered cider changed my life. I'm not a big drinker, but there's a huge exception in my heart for them. I'm also happy to have a sister-in-law who flies back home to Boston often enough to put some in her checked bags for me.
