As we gather around the table this November to give thanks, we're grateful for the opportunity to serve you—and we've been hard at work preparing a helpful serving of product updates. This month brings several enhancements to support your compliance needs.
Bug fixes
PRO COLA bug
We corrected a COLA classification mismatch in the Product Registration Online (PRO) system for COLA 25164001000327. The product now correctly displays as "Vodka – Other Flavored" instead of "Vodka Specialties," aligning with TTB database classifications. This fix enables proper state-level product registrations for affected products.
FedEx Service Error codes
We resolved an issue where shipments receiving FedEx "Service Error" codes due to API rate limiting were stuck in "Sent to Fulfillment" status instead of updating to "Delivered." We implemented delays between tracking API calls and daily call limit monitoring to prevent rate limit errors. This fix includes retroactive processing of all affected shipments to update their tracking status correctly.
We also made some updates to improve the functionality of our REST API.
Regulatory updates
Georgia
Updated tax jurisdiction mappings and rates for Georgia locations to ensure accurate sales tax calculations. This maintenance update included scanning and processing updates for tax jurisdictions to maintain compliance with current state tax requirements.
Kansas
Reverted the e-file URL for Kansas ABC-1040 reports back to the correct filing portal at https://www.kdor.ks.gov/apps/kcsc/login.aspx. The previous URL update was based on incorrect information from the state regarding portal migration. This retroactive fix applies to both the ABC-1040 Special Order Shipping Monthly Gallonage Tax Return and the Large Filers Supplement reports.
Nebraska
Updated the state Form 10 State and Local Sales and Use Tax Return (Schedule I) to reflect regulatory changes effective October 1, 2025 (for monthly and quarterly returns) and January 1, 2025 (for annual returns). Key updates include adding the City of Lindsay to the local schedule with reporting code 274-286, updated revision dates and cosmetic formatting throughout the form, and updated instructional text and section labels.
Vermont
Updated the state SU-451 Sales and Use Tax Return Form to reflect the removal of Montgomery Center local tax effective October 1, 2025. For monthly and quarterly returns filed after October 1, 2025, local tax will no longer be calculated for sales to Montgomery Center. Sales to this location will now be taxed at the state rate only. For annual returns, the form will correctly calculate local tax for Montgomery sales made between January 1 and September 30, 2025, but not for sales after October 1, 2025. The Montgomery Center line on the form now displays "Repealed 10/1/2025" notation.
Thank you for your continued partnership. We're excited about what's ahead and look forward to closing out the year strong with more updates on the horizon.
