Don’t get spooked by all the rule and regulation changes in the beverage alcohol industry! Sovos ShipCompliant is on top of all the latest updates. Here are a selection of highlights from the last month:
- Florida: We fixed a problem with the state Direct Wine Shipper Report and Excise Tax Return where the amount due was showing as a negative number.
- Missouri: We've updated state forms 53-I and 53-V Sales and Use Tax Return with minor changes.
- South Dakota: We've fixed a problem with the state Sales and Use Tax Return where Line 6 - Net State Sales was not calculating correctly.
- Tennessee: We've updated state form SLS 450 State and Local Sales and Use Tax Return to make sure timely filing discounts are calculated correctly.
- Vermont: We've updated the state MVB-612 Malt and Vinous Beverage Tax Return with minor changes, including two new lines for taxes on hard cider over 7% ABV.
- Washington: The state forms LIQ-308 Beer Certificate of Approval Holder Summary Tax Report, LIQ-318 Wine Authorized Representative Certificate of Approval Holder, LIQ-319 Beer Authorized Representative Certificate of Approval Holder, and Combined Tax Return have been updated with minor changes.
- Wisconsin: We've updated the state ST-12 Sales and Use Tax Return with minor changes.
We also fixed a problem with our Licenses workflow where licenses were showing as required for some states even though shipping had not been enabled for those states. Now, you'll only see required licenses for states you ship to.
