Chris Sowa

Chris has more than 20 years of experience in strategy development and execution in companies with advanced technologies. He has a proven track record of success leading strategy creation in Europe, Asia, Australia and the United States. Chris has deep expertise in monetizing digital solutions, leveraging artificial intelligence and using data-driven strategies.

His primary areas of responsibility at Sovos includes leadership of Sales and Use Tax, Tax and Regulatory Reporting and Sovos ShipCompliant. Chris brings expertise in disciplines such as lead strategy development, agile product development, artificial intelligence, enterprise sales, digital strategy, customer experience and more to his role as chief commercial officer.

In addition to his experience and expertise with large companies, he also founded his own startup, ToonCrier Inc., which leveraged AI emotion capture and emotion projection to create innovative ways to interact using both voice and digital avatars. Chris is an active member of MIT Enterprise Forum’s Innovation Committee.
