Effective June 1, 2023, the city of Norwich will end its exemption on clothing sold for under $110. The exemption from New York state sales tax, as well as from Chenango County’ sales tax, will however remain in effect. As a result, clothing sales under $110 will be subject to tax at a rate of 1.5%.
