Poland’s Ministry of Finance (MoF) updated its Krajowy System e-Faktur (KSeF) 2.0 manual and removed the end date for token based authentication. The manual previously set December 31, 2026 as the last day businesses could use tokens to authenticate in KSeF. MoF now confirms that tokens remain available for an unlimited period.
MoF made this change after feedback from businesses and software providers.
What this means for KSeF users:
-
Tokens remain a valid way to authenticate to KSeF, alongside the National Node (Węzeł krajowy), qualified electronic signatures, qualified electronic seals, and KSeF certificates.
-
Businesses no longer need to migrate away from token-based authentication by the end of 2026.
-
KSeF certificates remain available as an alternative authentication method.
MoF states that it will amend the regulation on using KSeF in due course to reflect this change.
