Poland: KSeF 2.0 Token Generation Available in MCU

December 4, 2025

The Polish Ministry of Finance has announced that token generation functionality will be available in the Module for Certificates and Permissions (MCU) by 10 December 2025. This allows taxpayers to generate KSeF 2.0-compatible authentication tokens for the Production environment ahead of the mandatory e-invoicing launch on 1 February 2026.

Tokens are used as one of the authentication methods in KSeF and can be generated after authentication in the system using a Trusted Profile (Profil Zaufany), a qualified signature, or a qualified seal. Tokens will be available as an authentication method until 31 December 2026.

The Ministry also reminded taxpayers that tokens generated in KSeF 1.0 will not be compatible with KSeF 2.0 and will not be migrated to the new system. KSeF 1.0 token generation remains available via the KSeF 1.0 Taxpayer Application until the end of January 2026, but these tokens cannot be used in KSeF 2.0.
