The project teams within the Ministry of Finance working on the development of the Fiscalization 2.0 system in Croatia, have been in touch with the Italian and French e-invoicing experts to hear their experiences from the implementation of these two countries’ CTC systems. The Ministry could be inspired by one or a combination of the two national CTC implementations and it did recognize that CTC systems in Croatia and France shared some common goals which are the control of business flows, increased productivity and transparency in business, modernization of business accounting systems, contribution to environmental protection and other advantages for the economy.
Businesses are encouraged to voluntarily adopt the structured e-invoice, which is used in public procurement and in B2B voluntarily and exchange their invoices using the central FINA platform prior to the implementation of the B2B e-invoicing system.
The project is expected to be implemented by the end of 2024, however no official documentation or specifications are published yet. As the project moves forward, we expect to know more about the details of the CTC system in the coming months.
