New Jersey Releases 2018 Income Tax Withholding Instructions

New Jersey has recently released an updated version of the 2018 Income Tax Withholding Instructions. This publication provides instructions for calculating, reporting, and remitting withholding tax for those with withholding obligations in New Jersey.

There are a small number of changes from the previous revision, which are listed below.

  • "Rate Tables" show an updated date, for withholding rate tables for wages, salaries, and commissions paid on and after September 1, 2018. Changed from January 1, 2010. 
  • Dollar amounts have been altered on “Table for Percentage Method of Withholding”.  See pages 24-27 for changes.
