Juneau, Alaska Increases Sales Tax Cap Beginning October 1, 2026

Effective October 1, 2026, Juneau Ordinance 2026-27(am) increases the local’s sales tax cap to $50,000 for both single items and services. Motor vehicle sales are an exception with those having a selling price of $50,000 or less are subject to a lower cap of $15,000.
