Iowa Exempts Diapers and Feminine Hygiene Products from Sales and Use Tax

As a result of Iowa SF 2367, diapers and feminine hygiene products will be exempt from sales and use tax in Iowa starting on January 1, 2023. The exemption for diapers covers cloth and reusable diapers for both children and adults, while the exemption for feminine hygiene products extends to tampons, panty liners, menstrual cups, sanitary napkins and other similar items designed for feminine hygiene in connection with the human menstrual cycle.
