Ryan Buma brings more than 25 years of business management, global go to market experience, and strategic leadership to his role as SVP and GM of Small & Medium Business (SMB) at Sovos. He oversees the global SMB P&L and all associated GTM channels, leading a broad portfolio of self service products and embedded and OEM partnerships.
Ryan has a long record of building and scaling high performing companies and business units within large global organizations. He has also led multiple venture backed SaaS companies through periods of rapid growth and successful exits. His experience spans the full software lifecycle, giving him a comprehensive and practical understanding of what it takes to compete and win in competitive markets.
Before joining Sovos, Ryan held executive roles at Microsoft, Oracle, and Motorola, where he launched and led global business units that became market leading software and services organizations. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, where he also serves as a frequent lecturer and mentor to emerging leaders.
