David Woodworth is a serial chief financial officer (CFO) with nearly 20 years of finance experience working across public and private global companies in software, technology, services and analytics /data intelligence. Serving as Sovos’ CFO, he leads finance, accounting, tax and treasury matters for the company while also overseeing financial integrations.
During his career, David has played a pivotal role in establishing financial best practices and transparency across multiple organizations. His experience includes scaling global software companies, acquisitions and integrations, private equity transactions, and debt and equity offerings. David also has extensive international experience, having worked across the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Prior to joining Sovos, David served as CFO of insightsoftware, another global provider of solutions for the office of the CFO. Here, he oversaw the financial integration of 24 acquisitions and helped to grow revenue 5x during a five-year period. He has also spent time at Ernst & Young LLP and served as CFO at Trilliant Networks and M*Modal. David has also served as an advisor to growth equity and private equity firms.
He holds a degree in information systems and a master’s in accountancy from Wake Forest University. David currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife and three children
