Health & Safety Policy

By registering to attend the 2022 Comply & Connect: Reporting Summit (the “Summit”), you agree to adhere to the following health and safety terms and conditions related to the Summit:
  1. At all times while at the Summit, you will comply with the terms and conditions set forth in this 2022 Comply & Connect: Reporting Summit Health and Safety Policy (“the Policy”), as well as any other CDC, federal, state, and local health guidelines and mandates applicable at the time of the event, or any other health and safety measures imposed by Sovos or the event venue with respect to the Summit and notified to you at any time. Additional safety protocols beyond those reflected in this Policy may be mandated by the city, state, or our event venue and will be clearly identified and communicated prior to entry into the Summit.
  2. Independent of applicable health guidelines and mandates, attendees are required to show proof of full vaccination as a condition of entrance to the Summit. To meet the requirement to be considered fully vaccinated, your vaccination must adhere to the definition of “fully vaccinated” as defined by the CDC at the time of the event, or such other definition as provided by Sovos in advance of the event.
  3. With respect to facial coverings, Sovos may require facial coverings and will make the determination with regard to facial covering requirements closer to the time of the Summit in accordance with relevant guidance from public health authorities as well as local practices in the community at the time of the Summit.  Sovos will provide timely communications to participants in the Summit with respect to the facial covering requirements applicable to the Summit, if any.
  4. You agree to not attend the Summit if any of the following are present at any time during the Summit or within 10 days prior to the Summit:
    • Any symptoms of COVID-19, including but not limited to fever, cough, or shortness of breath;
    • Fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or 38 degrees Celsius, or higher;
    • Undergoing evaluation for COVID-19, such as awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test;
    • Diagnosis or positive test for COVID-19; or
    • Close contact to someone with COVID-19
    If any of the above are present at any time during the Summit, you agree to immediately isolate yourself and leave the Summit and notify event staff if you, or someone you have been in close contact with, (i) exhibits any COVID-19 symptoms, including those described above, or (ii) receives a positive COVID-19 test result.
  5. As necessary to comply with any applicable health guidelines and mandates, the agenda or room capacities for the Summit may be revised at any time, and any changes will be reflected in timely communication to participants in the Summit.
  6. You expressly assume, and release Sovos Compliance, LLC and its affiliates from all risks, claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, whether or not reasonably foreseeable, associated with, resulting from, or arising in connection with your participation or presence at the Summit, including, without limitation, all risks of harm, damage, illness (including viruses or illness from any communicable disease) or injury (including death) to or related to your person or property.
  7. You agree that, where necessary, your contact details including name, email, address, and phone numbers may be passed to authorities concerned with carrying out contact tracing in support of COVID-19 containment measures. The minimum necessary information will be provided in response to lawful requests. Please be advised that neither Sovos Compliance, LLC nor its affiliates accept any liability for the transmission of COVID-19 nor for any failure by the relevant authorities to adequately carry out contact tracing.

Cancellation Policy

  • 25% of registration fee is kept if cancellation occurs any time before July 31, 2023 (up until 12 weeks before summit)
  • 50% of registration fee is kept if cancellation occurs any time from July 31, 2023 through September 11, 2023 (between 12 and six weeks out from summit)
  • 75% of registration fee is kept if cancellation occurs any time from September 11, 2023 through September 25, 2023 (between six and four weeks out from summit)
  • 100% of registration fee is kept if cancellation occurs on or after September 26, 2023 (within four weeks of summit)
  • If Sovos cancels the summit, all registrants receive a full refund or can roll credit over to next year’s summit

State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
