The cannabis industry is estimated to reach over $31.8 billion in annual sales by the end of 2023. But, similar to the alcohol/wine industries coming out of prohibition in the 1930s, the cannabis industry has experienced its share of growing pains. Significant regulatory hurdles and complex distribution models make it difficult for brands to compete and scale. Many of the learnings from alcohol following Prohibition will influence the cannabis industry. Additionally, the growing interest and popularity of cannabis will impact alcohol beverage in the coming years. Hear about the overlap between the cannabis and adult beverage industries and how they will impact each other and co-exist in the future.
