IRS Announces IDES Testing Session Dates

The IRS has announced that IDES will be open for the testing of FATCA files from Monday, June 19, 2017 at 8:00 AM EST until Friday, July 14, 2017 at 5:00 PM EST. The test session will be open to users who have completed IDES enrollment by Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 5:00 PM EST. The last testing window was done in early 2017.

IDES reminds filers that they should not submit production files to the test environment or test files to the production environment. Testers should be mindful of the DocTypeIndic element.
