In-person conferences are back in full force for Sovos in 2023. It’s likely that you, or your employees, have been invited to several industry conferences that offer high-impact keynote speakers and a great depth of potential insights into our industry. How do you evaluate the true value in terms of return on investment for you, your employees or your business to attend one of these events?

Sovos’ 2023 Comply & Connect: Reporting is the industry’s premier conference for information on emerging trends in tax and regulatory reporting and compliance. This year, the conference takes place in Austin, Texas from October 23-25. Here are key highlights in how the conference will benefit your organization.

Learn from highly accredited industry experts

This year is unlike any other when it comes to the amount of industry experts who will be presenting and facilitating discussions. With over 20 experts being brought in from outside of Sovos, including professionals from Big 4 accounting firms, Sovos partners, Sovos customers, and well-established tax leaders, there will be no shortage of educational opportunities for your employees to learn and grow from.

Earn up to 13 CPE credits

The 2023 Comply & Connect conference offers a myriad of educational opportunities, including dedicated product training sessions. There will also be breakout sessions led by industry experts on a variety of topics, like fraud mitigation best practices, insights for managing IRS and state penalties, or best practices for W-8 management. By attending these sessions, your employees can earn up to 13 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. Comply & Connect registration costs are in line with industry CPE credit costs and cover much more.

Group and 1:1 product trainings

Sometimes listening to virtual product trainings or reading through training materials can be overwhelming, especially for those who are new to their role or using a product for the first time. At Comply & Connect, your employees can learn more about their products in group trainings and sign up for one-on-one training sessions to get answers directly from Sovos product experts. Networking opportunities are available as well to understand how other customers are maximizing usage of their Sovos products.

Networking opportunities

There are several chances for your employees to collaborate directly with their peers and industry experts at 2023 Comply & Connect, including the previously mentioned industry-focused networking breakout sessions and planned group events that encourage attendees to make meaningful connections.

The new professional development track

Events are a fantastic way to step outside your daily routine and inspire creative ways of thinking and tackling issues within your own organization. Comply & Connect is excited to be adding a new track to the conference that encourages professional development. This track will offer new sessions, including how to engage a younger workforce, important KPIs for tax reporting teams and “red flags” that trigger IRS audits. This new track will enable you to bring back valuable strategies and ideas to your company through panel discussions led by tax leaders from some of the largest financial institutions, insurance companies and multinational corporations.
