For more than 33 years, EY has been at the forefront of identifying game-changing business leaders and celebrating ingenuity through its Entrepreneur of the Year Awards program. The firm recently named Andy Hovancik, CEO, as a semifinalist in its Entrepreneur Of The Year 2019 New England Awards program, billed by EY as the world’s most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs.

The Entrepreneur Of The Year program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in areas such as financial performance, innovation and commitment to their businesses and communities. The program has honored the leadership of such entrepreneurs and companies including Aron Ain, Kronos Incorporated; Stephen Kaufer, TripAdvisor, Inc.; Brian Halligan of HubSpot; and Jeff Weiner of LinkedIn Corporation.

The honor comes amid a year of industry leadership for Sovos. IDC recently named the company a leader in its first MarketScape for global tax automation software, signaling two crucial things: first, modern tax technology is an important part of the digital financial core for business. And second, traditional tax software wasn’t built for today’s era of digital tax enforcement.

Sovos is on a path to solve this complex challenge for good, so customers don’t need to amass dozens of local solutions to address tax obligations everywhere they do business. They choose Sovos so they can prosper in a world where tax is part of every transaction, no matter where they do business. The Sovos vision is to continue enabling frictionless commerce, even as more countries embrace digital transformation to close their tax gaps and collect the revenues their communities need to thrive.

The independent judging panel includes previous award winners, leading CEOs, private equity and venture capital investors, and other regional business luminaries. The New England award recipients are announced at a black‑tie gala held on June 26, 2019.

Learn more about the Entrepreneur Of The Year New England program, “the only competitive awards program in the world for entrepreneurs and leaders of high‑growth companies,” according to EY.
