We’re so excited to share some of the incredible breakout sessions planned for this year’s DIRECT Conference. This event promises to provide more learning and community building opportunities than ever before, and we hope to have you join us as we Build Tomorrow! Here’s a teaser of some of the content you can expect at DIRECT.

Executive Track

Business Ownership Changes | Unsuspecting changes have very real consequences when the changes come to the TTB’s attention. The presenters will cover how to deal with common changes, reveal how to spot the types of changes that can result in loss of your winery permit, and what to do if you have unreported changes that might cause a problem. Attendees will leave this session empowered to face the issues before they become a problem, keep sales flowing, and protect the bottom line.

Compliance Track

Regulatory Panel | Do you have burning questions on the latest regulations and legislative updates? This panel will feature state regulators and a representative from the TTB, who will provide information on the latest developments, and keep you informed of upcoming changes that will affect your business. Come prepared with questions about direct shipping and more!

Retail Sales Tax and Regulations Affecting Beverage Alcohol | During this regulatory session will cover retail sales tax and regulations affecting the beverage alcohol industry. The presenters will look at recent legislation and what the future for the industry could hold. Bring your questions!

Sales and Marketing Track

New Trends in Wine eCommerce | This session will look at new trends in wine eCommerce to help your winery sell more wine direct to consumer. Attendees will leave this session with three actionable (and easily implementable) ways that successful wineries engage customers in the tasting room and continue to sell wine online.

Creating a Community Around Your Brand | Join this session to explore innovative marketing strategies that are centered exclusively around creating community, looking at ways that you can build success by connecting with those who appreciate your brand. The presenters will share tips about how to think outside the box and truly understand your customer, without giving in to trend or tradition.

Technology Track

DtC Wine Case Studies | This panel will explore the ROI of using ShipCompliant in combination with shipping strategies to improve customer service to a national wine buying audience and grow the bottom line. Panelists will discuss the ROI of using mobile POS to retain loyal club members and grow in-person sales and the ROI of using social media management and monitoring tools to stay connected with customers and reach new target audiences.

Lessons from eCommerce Subscriptions | Are there lessons that wine clubs and wineries can learn from other subscription service businesses? With panelists both in and out of the wine space, presenters will examine the past, where we are now, and what’s next for the future. This session will be sure to provide you with actionable steps to grow your current business, provide a more crafted and interactive solution for your customers, and benchmark the eCommerce world to take the wine/alcohol beverage space to the next level.

On-demand Technology | As technology evolves, consumers are now placing an enormous value on the ability to get products and services when they want them and where they want them, no matter the time of day. The enormous popularity of on-demand services has forever changed consumer habits and expectations in all industries, including the alcohol industry.
